Cornerstone partners with families seeking reading and dyslexia support through individualized remote instruction, thoughtful assessment, and clear communication.
Who May Benefit
Families may consider Cornerstone when a child needs support with decoding, fluency, spelling, comprehension, or dyslexia-related challenges, or when classroom instruction alone has not been enough. Services are educational and individualized based on the information families provide.
Common Signs a Child May Need Support
These signs do not diagnose a reading disability. They may indicate that additional literacy support could be helpful.
- Difficulty decoding unfamiliar words
- Slow or effortful reading
- Weak spelling
- Avoidance of reading
- Difficulty remembering sound-symbol relationships
- Low confidence related to reading
- Existing dyslexia diagnosis or suspected dyslexia

What a Consultation Covers
A free 15-minute consultation gives families an opportunity to share concerns, ask questions, and learn whether Cornerstone may be a good fit. It is not a reading assessment or instructional session.
What Remote Instruction Looks Like
Sessions take place online from home. Instruction is personalized and may include structured literacy practices informed by approaches such as the Wilson Reading System. Families avoid transportation burdens, and sessions can fit more naturally into family routines.
How Assessments Work
When recommended, a reading assessment helps clarify strengths and needs and informs a written recommendation. Assessments are educational tools designed to guide instruction. Cornerstone does not diagnose dyslexia or replace a medical or school evaluation process.
How Progress Is Communicated
Progress monitoring and clear communication help families understand how skills are developing over time. Following consultation and any recommended assessment, families receive a personalized service recommendation and package options.
